Assignment 2

The assignment 2 is about make a one month calendar and this calendar based on a festive season like Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and so on. So I will choose February. Because this month have a popular festive for person. The festive is Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14. In the Americas and Europe, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, gift, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.
In Valentine's Day, people like use some symbol to expression love, for example: heart-shaped. Chocolate like heart-shaped, flowers like heart-shaped and so on. Cupid, another symbol of the holiday, became associated with it because he was the son of Venus, the Roman god of love and beauty. He is represented by the image of a young boy with bow and arrow. Cupid often appears on Valentine cards.
Whatever the odd mixture of origins, St.Valentine's Day is now a day for sweethearts. It is the day that you show your friend or loved one that you care. You can send candy to someone you think is special. Or you can send roses, the flower of love.
